Tera Thomas is a gifted and deeply compassionate animal communicator, teacher, author, and visionary, who has dedicated her life’s purpose to reawaken, and help restore, the communication and harmony between human beings, animals, and nature. As a compelling speaker and teacher, she gives workshops and classes both at Hummingbird Farm and across the United States, and has clients around the world.

Tera is Founder and President of Hummingbird Farm, a 49-acre non-profit learning center and sanctuary that is dedicated to deepening the understanding, respect and communication between all living beings and the natural world. Tera’s vision for Hummingbird Farm, and the exemplary life that she leads there, speaks directly to the urgent need of a planet and it’s inhabitants that so desperately needs to find healing and balance for its wellbeing. In her dedicated work and single-minded vision, Tera not only talks the talk – she walks the walk, and in following her footsteps we are guided to a deeper understanding and awareness of the responsibility and the integral part we must all play, in restoring the physical and spiritual balance between all living things on our planet.

From childhood, Tera Thomas has had a deep love and intuitive connection with animals, seeming to always understand their needs and what they had to say.  It is from this passionate and empathetic connection, and the amazing lessons that animals have taught her, that she was led on a journey that eventually led to her life’s work.  Having studied with renowned animal communicators, Penelope Smith, and Dawn Hayden, in the early nineties, Tera became a professional animal communicator and teacher.

Tera also is a Reiki Master and offers Reiki Attunements, as well as hands-on and long distance healing to animals and people.

Tera Thomas draws from a rich life experience, having lived, worked, and traveled many parts of the world. She has been a clothing designer, magazine editor, worked for 20 years in the film and TV industry, and has edited and co-written several books. In 2001 Tera wrote and published her own book, “Opening My Wings to Fly: What Animals Have Taught Me”. She is currently working on her second book.
